Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has demanded the immediate suspension of JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, over alleged mishandling of the 2025 UTME results. The group criticized JAMB’s explanation regarding technical issues and called for a commission of enquiry to investigate the situation.

In a statement signed by President General Senator John Azuta-Mbata, Ohanaeze expressed concern over the trauma caused to students and families by the examination irregularities. The group rejected JAMB’s claim that server update failures by service providers were to blame, describing it as an attempt to undermine the future of young Nigerians, particularly from the Southeast.

Ohanaeze also renewed its objection to the quota-based admission policy, stating that Igbo students face systemic disadvantages despite competing in the same job market. It urged the federal government to address these inequities and reiterated its call for national restructuring to allow regions to develop according to their strengths.

The organization appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene, warning that recurring failures in the education system risk deepening national divisions and injustice.
