Popular comedian and content creator Samuel Perry has reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot wound in the Sango-Ota area of Otaakuko area of Lagos State. Further reports indicated that he was later transferred to Duchess Hospital in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja”,”Lagos State, Nigeria”, where he is currently recovering.
When contacted on Thursday, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the hospital had notified police about the case. “The hospital contacted the police to report that a gunshot victim had been brought in. Detectives and a patrol team were immediately dispatched, where they discovered that the victim was a skit maker and social media personality. He was seen on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh. The incident occurred in Sango-Ota, which is outside our jurisdiction, but the investigation is ongoing,” she said.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, stated that the incident had not been officially reported to their command.“The incident was alleged to have happened in Ogun State, but no formal report has been made,” she added.
