The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of 632,788 candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on April 16. Candidates can check their scores via SMS by sending a message to 55019 or 66019. The board also warned that tampering with results is a criminal offence, noting that some suspects have already been arrested.

Thousands of candidates nationwide can now access their results as JAMB begins a phased release of the 2026 UTME outcomes. While the development has brought relief to many, the board has also issued a stern warning, stressing its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice and result manipulation. JAMB confirmed that results for those who wrote the exam on April 16 are now available, marking the first batch of releases. A total of 632,788 candidates can immediately check their scores.

To access results, candidates are required to send: UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration. For now, candidates can only view their results, as the option to print them has not yet been activated. The board cautioned candidates and parents against attempting to alter or falsify the SMS results received through official channels. It emphasized that any effort to manipulate scores to deceive others is a serious criminal offence.

JAMB also highlighted the growing use of digital tools, including artificial intelligence, in fraudulent activities, adding that such actions are being closely monitored and offenders will be prosecuted. In a related development, the board disclosed that enforcement measures are already in effect, with at least two candidates and one parent currently in custody over alleged involvement in result falsification using electronic and AI-based methods.

JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the credibility of the examination process, warning that anyone found guilty will face strict legal consequences. The UTME exercise is still ongoing across the country, and additional results will be released in batches. Candidates who have not yet received their scores are advised to remain patient and rely solely on official updates from the board.
