Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has described himself as part of the “Revolution Team” following his release from detention at Kuje Prison in Abuja. His statement was captured in a video shared on Tuesday by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, where Blord spoke about his time in detention, his bail process, and appreciation for those who supported him. In the video, Blord said he had never met Sowore before but credited him for stepping in during his case. “As a matter of fact, I have never met Omoyele Sowore in my life. I have never communicated, I have never called him on the phone, but when he heard that I was being intimidated, he had to step in,” he said.
He explained that his bail hearing was initially scheduled for April 27 but was later changed. “My bail hearing was set for the 27th. Omoyele Sowore said, over his dead body, will that happen, and he did it as he said. He made sure the date was pushed forward,” he added. Blord further said he was heading to Anambra after his release but decided to stop and show appreciation. “I am on my way to Anambra, my people are waiting for me, but I said even if I am going to miss my flight, I must come to Sowore to say thank you,” he said.
He also revealed he was given a symbolic gift, adding, “He gave me a beret. I am among the revolution team now.” The “Revolution Team” is associated with the #RevolutionNow movement led by Sowore, which focuses on advocacy against corruption, insecurity, and governance challenges through civic action. Blord was recently released after being arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja over charges of impersonation and forgery tied to allegations involving the use of activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, in promotional content.
The dispute between both men began in October 2025 after Blord promoted what he described as an “iPhone XR converted to an iPhone 17 Pro Max,” a claim that later sparked public controversy. He had also previously faced separate allegations in 2024 relating to cryptocurrency fraud and regulatory issues.
