Tekno has unveiled plans for his upcoming album *Where Did Love Go?*, scheduled for release in June 2026. Alongside the announcement, he dropped two new singles, “Bamboo” and “Press Button,” giving listeners an early sense of the project’s direction. Released under emPawa Africa, the tracks introduce the album’s sonic identity. “Bamboo,” which opens the project, is self-produced by Tekno and leans into a smooth, groove-driven Afropop sound that sets a relaxed and familiar mood. On the other hand, “Press Button,” produced by Yung Willis, brings a more energetic vibe with its dancehall-inspired rhythm, designed to be instantly engaging and dance-ready.

Together, both songs highlight the versatility in Tekno’s sound—balancing laid-back, melody-focused elements with more upbeat, rhythm-heavy tracks—while maintaining a unified feel. They also reflect his strong creative input, as he handled most of the album’s production, shaping its overall tone and cohesion.

*Where Did Love Go?* is an eight-track project centered on themes of romance and nostalgia, delivered through Tekno’s signature melodic style. The album blends Afrobeats, Afropop, and dancehall influences into a sound that feels both familiar and emotionally resonant. Following the release of “Bamboo” and “Press Button,” Tekno is expected to drop another single titled “Matter,” a mid-tempo, R&B-influenced track that adds a more introspective dimension ahead of the full album release.
