Kemi Filani recently reported that Chief Priest, currently in Anambra, flaunted the 47 cows he gifted his childhood friend, Obi Cubana, for his mother’s burial. The gesture was accompanied by a promise to “shut down” the state for Obi Cubana. In response, Obi Cubana praised Chief Priest, noting his reputation for setting and breaking records.

However, this extravagant gift comes amid controversy surrounding Chief Priest’s treatment of his family members. Last year, his brother, a phone repairer at Alaba market, cried out for help, revealing his struggles to make ends meet.

The brother’s plea highlighted the stark contrast between his own financial struggles and Chief Priest’s wealth and generosity towards outsiders. He expressed hope that his brother would one day remember him.

In a separate incident, an alleged baby mama accused Chief Priest of abandoning their child in 2023. Chief Priest denied the allegations, claiming he was financially capable of caring for any child he might have. He even dared the accuser to conduct a DNA test, offering to double the expenses if the child was indeed his.

The controversy surrounding Chief Priest’s personal life has raised questions about his priorities and values, despite his notable generosity towards friends like Obi Cubana.
