Edo state lawmaker and fiancée of legendary singer 2Baba, Natasha Osawaru, has officially changed her name following her relationship with the musician. Kemi Filani observed that Natasha has updated her Instagram bio, now referring to herself as Honorable Natasha Idibia.
This comes after 2Baba announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. Shortly after, reports surfaced that the singer had found love again with Natasha Osawaru Igbinedion, who hails from Edo State.
In February, 2Baba confirmed his relationship with Natasha in a video on Instagram, expressing his love for her and his intention to marry her. He clarified that she had no involvement in the breakdown of his marriage with Annie, emphasizing that he and Annie had reached an understanding. Following up, 2Baba shared a photo of Natasha, asking Nigerians to help him persuade her to marry him, describing her as his world.
However, the engagement has sparked controversy within 2Baba’s family. His mother, Rose Idibia, publicly pleaded with Natasha to remove the beads she had placed on her son’s hands and neck, urging her to let him go. She claimed that her son, who was in the process of divorcing Annie, was not in his right state of mind. Adding to the tension, 2Baba’s family reportedly filed a petition to the DSS, seeking intervention. They claimed that the singer had been missing, last seen wearing his loungewear, and raised concerns over his well-being.
