Banky W earns Master’s degree in Policy Management from American university

Nigerian singer and politician Bankole Wellington, known as Banky W, has completed a Master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He shared the news on Instagram, posting photos from his graduation ceremony.

In his post, Banky W reflected on the demanding journey of balancing full-time graduate studies, a Capitol Hill fellowship, and raising two young children with his wife, Adesuwa. He noted that he earned the degree while their second child, Hezekiah Oluwadarasimi Wellington, was born.

He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to study at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and acknowledged the challenges of parenting, studying, and working simultaneously. He credited faith, family, and mentors for helping him persevere.

Banky W emphasized the importance of self-reflection and growth, stating that success is not only about achieving goals but also about the transformation that happens along the way. He encouraged others to pursue their dreams, no matter the stage in life, and hinted at a return to active professional and personal engagements.

He previously announced his relocation to the United States in September 2024 to pursue the degree and shared news of their second child’s birth in October 2024. Banky W and Adesuwa, who married in 2017, welcomed their first son, Hazaiah Olusegun Wellington, in 2021.
