Victor Osimhen is reportedly open to earning just over £200,000 per week at Manchester United, contrary to earlier claims suggesting he was demanding £300,000 weekly, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
This clarification follows reports that INEOS, Manchester United’s part-owners, are reluctant to meet the striker’s rumoured wage demands due to their focus on reducing the club’s overall salary burden.Romano stated that reports of Osimhen seeking around £300,000 a week are inaccurate, noting that the Napoli forward is willing to accept a lower wage.
“He just wants his current salary—around €12 million net, or approximately £10.2 million per season—to be matched, nothing more. Same as one year ago,” Romano explained.
This lower salary expectation could make a transfer to Manchester United more feasible, especially when compared to Mason Mount’s £250,000 weekly earnings at the club.
Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain as he prepares to leave Napoli following a successful loan stint at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and contributed eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
The Nigerian striker has attracted significant transfer interest, with reports suggesting that Napoli may prefer a deal involving Liverpool and Darwin Núñez in a potential player swap.
