Gunmen believed to be bandits launched a devastating attack on Kakin Dawa village in Zamfara State, abducting over 50 women and children. The attackers, armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed the village at 1:30 am on Sunday, moving from house to house.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the kidnapped victims included young girls and married women. A community member appealed to the federal and Zamfara State governments to deploy more military and security personnel to combat the terrorists.

“Everyone started running because the armed bandits have been targeting our village; later we discovered that more than 50 of our women were abducted,” he told DAILY POST.

The attack has sparked widespread concern, with efforts to obtain a reaction from the State police command spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar, proving unsuccessful as of the time of reporting.
