Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has formally disengaged members of his cabinet, expressing gratitude for their service and contributions to the state’s development over the past two years. The affected officials include commissioners and other public officers whose appointments were recently nullified by the Supreme Court, bringing their tenure to an end.
During a valedictory session at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Wednesday—part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary—Fubara commended the former cabinet members for their dedication. He emphasized the importance of national unity and urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu in efforts to build a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation.
Reaffirming his commitment to Rivers people, Fubara pledged to serve with renewed energy and thanked citizens for their steadfast support, while extending good wishes for the Independence celebrations.
