Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that he still plans to complete his education despite achieving success in the music industry. Speaking in a preview of the *Honest Brunch Podcast*, set for release on YouTube on Monday, the singer reflected on his educational background, financial struggles and rise to fame.
Portable said he was unable to complete his studies after losing financial support, adding that he remains determined to return to school. He explained that he worked as a sachet water seller to raise money for his education but eventually dropped out because he could no longer afford the tuition fees. The singer disclosed that he gained admission into Kwara State Polytechnic through the state’s indigene quota to study Business Administration but was forced to abandon the programme due to financial difficulties.
According to him, leaving the institution remains one of his biggest regrets, and he hopes to resume his studies in the future.Reflecting on his personal journey, Portable said he was once considered the least academically gifted among his siblings but now supports his father financially, while his sisters are employed. He also encouraged young people to value education, while noting that success is possible through different paths. He stressed that although earning a degree is not the only route to achievement, he still intends to return to school and complete his education.
