Security operatives in Kaduna have successfully rescued 23 kidnapped victims from terrorists after a fierce gun battle. According to DSP Mansir Hassan, spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, the rescue operation took place on February 2, 2025, following credible intelligence on the movement of armed bandits in the Kajuru area.

He said, “During the encounter, security forces inflicted heavy casualties on the enemies, forcing them to retreat and flee into the forest with gunshot wounds, which led to the rescue of twenty-three kidnapped victims who had earlier been reported missing in Kauru LGA. “The victims have been safely reunited with their families. “Meanwhile, the area has been placed under heightened surveillance and aggressive patrols to prevent further criminal activities.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad psc, assures the public that the Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents and will continue to work in line with the ideals, vision, and mission of His Excellency Senator Uba Sani on security in the state, in collaboration with the military and other security agencies, to combat crime and maintain peace across the state.”

The operation was led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru Division and military personnel, who bravely advanced into the bush near Doka Village in Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA). There, they encountered a gang of armed bandits attempting to relocate their victims to Kajuru Forest. The successful rescue mission is a significant blow to terrorist activities in the region and a testament to the bravery and determination of the security operatives involved.
