Nigerians have turned to social media to express their opinions following the recent hike in passport fees.

On Wednesday night, August 21, the Nigeria Immigration Service announced an increase in the cost of passport issuance. According to the official statement, the price for a 32-page passport booklet with a 5-year validity has risen from ₦35,000 to ₦50,000. Additionally, the 64-page passport booklet with a 10-year validity has seen an increase from ₦70,000 to ₦100,000.

This development has sparked a wave of reactions across social media platforms, as citizens share their thoughts on the new pricing.
