Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has made a stunning revelation about being offered performance-enhancing drugs during his time at Chelsea. This disclosure comes after Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk failed a drugs test, leading to his provisional suspension by the Football Association.

Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk was provisionally suspended by the Football Association after failing a drugs test. Mudryk has since released a statement claiming he had “not done anything wrong.” The Ukrainian international’s assertion of innocence has sparked debate within the football community.Reacting to Mudryk’s suspension, Mikel Obi told Obi One Podcast that the Ukrainian international is innocent until proven guilty. Obi’s comments highlight the need for a thorough investigation into the matter before jumping to conclusions.

Mikel Obi’s personal anecdote about being offered performance-enhancing drugs at Chelsea serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of doping in football. As the sport continues to grapple with the issue, Obi’s story underscores the importance of educating players about the risks associated with doping.

“For him (Mudryk) and his family, I hope he is innocent. I remember when we were playing, if someone was offering me something, I would ask you what it was”, Mikel said on the Obi One podcast.

“I’m responsible for what I put in my body, what I eat, and stuff like that. People around will offer you stuff—friends, friends of friends—they will tell you that this will give you this or it will give you one or two more percent in your performances, and I’m like, What is this? Is this legal? “I tell them to go away; I don’t want to talk about it. We have to take responsibility for our actions and what we eat. But for now, Mudryk is innocent until proven guilty.”
