The Osun State Police Command has apprehended a couple in connection with the alleged murder of a bishop in Osogbo. According to BBC News Pidgin, police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola disclosed details of the incident on Thursday.The victim, Shina Olaribigbe, was the founder of Rapture Empowerment International in Osogbo. Reports indicate that the couple had been experiencing marital issues, leading to their separation.
Prior to their separation, Olaribigbe had attempted to mediate the conflict. However, the suspect allegedly attacked and killed the clergyman at his wife’s residence in the early hours of Thursday.The incident occurred when the deceased was found on the bed of the suspect’s wife. The police have taken the couple into custody in connection with the alleged murder.
The suspect’s motives are believed to be rooted in jealousy, sparking the violent confrontation. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.“We were informed that the pastor was at the woman’s house today (Thursday) when the husband arrived. We were also told that the husband stabbed the pastor,” Opalola said. The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the couple and is working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder.
“The husband stabbed him several times, and he died. It is believed the husband acted on suspicion that the pastor was having an affair with his wife,” the spokesperson added.

Ogunsanmi, who had been living separately from his wife for about a year, allegedly broke into her residence, where he found her with the pastor. He then stabbed the pastor to death with a knife.
“Police officers from the Dugbe Division responded promptly to the scene, arrested the suspect, and recovered the exhibit. “The corpse has been deposited at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy. “Investigation is ongoing.
