Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) and its subsidiaries have disclosed that they paid a total of N402.319 billion in taxes to the Nigerian government in 2024, solidifying their position as the country’s highest taxpayer.

This revelation was made by Anthony Chiejina, Dangote’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer, during a meeting with senior media executives in Lagos. Chiejina emphasized that Dangote Group and its subsidiaries, including Dangote Cement, NASCON, and Dangote Packaging Limited, have consistently fulfilled their tax obligations as responsible business enterprises.

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) recognized DIL and its subsidiary, Bluestar Shipping, as the most tax-compliant organizations in Nigeria during the 2024 Lagos International Trade Fair. This acknowledgment underscores Dangote Group’s commitment to meeting its tax responsibilities and contributing to the country’s revenue.

As a responsible business organization, Dangote Group has prioritized its obligations to the government and host communities. The company has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth, particularly in the cement and refined petroleum products sectors.
