Afrobeats sensation Asake has admitted his father, Fatai Odunsi, to a specialist hospital in Ikoyi, where Chinese medical experts are currently overseeing his treatment, a source confirmed.

A neighbor of Odunsi, who had previously guided a reporter to Asake’s childhood home in Iga Idunganran, Isale Eko, verified the news. Speaking in the local dialect, she initially requested a follow-up call in the evening to provide more details. Later, she confirmed that Odunsi was indeed receiving care at the unnamed hospital.

A source within Asake’s management, speaking anonymously, described the situation as an oversight. According to the source, Asake has begun fulfilling his financial obligations to both his father and his daughter, Zeenat. However, the source was uncertain about any potential reconciliation between Asake and Zeenat’s mother or whether he would extend financial support to her.

“The issue has been resolved. He has reconnected with his family and assured them of his continued support. To the best of my knowledge, he is already making good on his promises, which is why things have settled. I can’t speak on the baby mama’s situation; my knowledge is limited to what I’ve shared,” the source stated. In a viral video, Odunsi confirmed their reconciliation, revealing that Asake had pledged to purchase a house for him and cover all medical expenses.

He noted that real estate agents were actively searching for a suitable home. Additionally, Asake committed to taking full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat. However, Odunsi did not comment on whether Asake would rekindle his relationship with Zeenat’s mother or offer her financial assistance.
