The 17th Headies Awards, held on Sunday in Lagos, Nigeria, honored exceptional achievements in the Nigerian and African music industries.Among the early winners, Zerry DL was named Rookie of the Year, while Davido took home the Digital Artist of the Year award. Rema won Afrobeats Album of the Year for his project *HEIS*, and Tems received Best Recording of the Year for her song *Burning*.

The ceremony also recognized influential individuals with Special Recognition Awards, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Alex Okosi, and Amaju Pinnick. A key moment saw Odumodublvck being crowned Next Rated Artist, surpassing nominees Shallipopi, Qing Madi, and Ayo Maff.

The Headies Awards is a leading music award platform that acknowledges exceptional accomplishments within the Nigerian music sector.
