
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended Lagos socialite Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, popularly known as E-Money, over alleged Naira abuse.
He was reportedly taken into custody on Monday night at his Lagos residence. The allegations involve spraying US dollars at a social function, a violation of Nigeria’s Foreign Exchange Act, as well as defacing foreign currency.
EFCC has initiated preliminary investigations and intends to prosecute him after completing its inquiries. E-Money has since been moved to Abuja for further questioning by EFCC officials.
