As part of efforts to curb paternity fraud, activist Deji Adeyanju has proposed that DNA tests be made compulsory before birth certificates are issued to newborns in Nigeria.Adeyanju made the call in a post shared on X, urging the National Assembly to consider passing legislation to that effect.

His suggestion has since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians expressing support and arguing that paternity fraud has become increasingly common in the country.
