The Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspects linked to the armed robbery and attempted murder of singer Lil Kesh at Bera Estate, Chevron area, Lekki, Lagos State.

The suspects, Mathew Adewole and Mukhtar Muhammad, were apprehended on September 11 at Na’ibawa Quarters, Kano. Police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Kiyawa confirmed in a statement on Saturday that Mr. Adewole confessed to attacking Lil Kesh on August 19, inflicting a deep cut on his neck and forcing him to transfer ₦2.12 million to Muhammad’s account.

Kiyawa noted the arrests were made possible through intelligence gathering and community collaboration, in line with IGP Kayode Egbetokun’s directive.

Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Bakori praised the operatives for their diligence and thanked the public for their cooperation, assuring that the command will sustain efforts to ensure safety and security across the state.
