Kelli Ferrell, one of the newest cast members of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is entangled in serious legal trouble off-screen, as her ex-husband, Chuvalo Mark Ferrell, has filed a $200 million lawsuit against Bravo and other parties over allegations made about him on the show.
According to court filings obtained by TMZ, Chuvalo claims that Kelli fabricated accusations that he was abusive and stole money from her—claims he insists are entirely false. He alleges that the storyline, which aired on the reality series, portrayed him as “a criminal, an abuser, and a fraud,” damaging his character and livelihood.
Chuvalo states that in 2022, he and Kelli jointly secured a $420,000 loan to expand their restaurant, Nana’s Chicken-n-Waffles. However, he contends that Kelli diverted a portion of the funds for personal expenses, including birthday celebrations. Despite repaying the loan in full, Chuvalo says Kelli falsely accused him on camera of misappropriating the money.
The lawsuit further alleges that Bravo and the show’s producers knowingly aired defamatory statements about him to heighten drama, despite the claims being unverified. As a result, Chuvalo asserts that he has suffered “irreparable harm” to his reputation and professional standing.
He is seeking $100 million in compensatory damages and an additional $100 million in punitive damages “to send a message,” bringing the total claim to $200 million.Kelli and Chuvalo, who married in 2011, share three children. Their divorce was finalized in 2024. As of press time, Bravo has not issued a public response to the lawsuit.
