Super Falcons Slip One Place as Super Eagles Hold Their Position in Latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have slipped to 37th place in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings, according to an update published on the organization’s official website on Thursday, December 11.The team did not play any matches during the recent FIFA international window. Previously, Justine Madugu’s squad was ranked 36th globally.

Despite the drop on the world stage, Nigeria remains the top-ranked team in Africa. Following the Super Falcons, the other leading African teams are South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, Ghana’s Black Princesses, Zambia’s Copper Queens, and Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses, completing the continent’s top five. Globally, Spain retained the number one spot, followed by the United States, Germany, England, and Sweden in the top five positions.
