Following a difficult two months marked by the loss of both his parents, Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Nwabali is set to rejoin his South African club, Chippa United. The 28-year-old Super Eagles goalkeeper suffered the devastating loss of his father in mid-November, only to face another heartbreak with the passing of his mother at the beginning of the year.

Nwabali recently announced his return to Chippa United on social media, posting an old photo of himself in action for the club, along with a video of his flight back to South Africa. His Instagram post was captioned “Back to Business” as he prepares to resume training ahead of the South African Premier League’s resumption.

Chippa United is scheduled to face Marumo Gallants on January 18 at Sisa Dukashe Stadium, marking the team’s return to action.
