NAFDAC has closed a supermarket in Maitama, Abuja, for selling and distributing prohibited, unregistered, and counterfeit regulated products.According to the agency, the supermarket also obstructed NAFDAC officers during the enforcement of regulatory actions.

Upon an initial inspection, NAFDAC officials discovered several banned and unregistered products. “Despite being invited to the agency for further investigation, the supermarket management refused to cooperate. This led to a follow-up operation by an enforcement team, which also encountered obstruction,” the statement said.

The agency further revealed that items confiscated from the supermarket included unregistered pet food, prohibited imported soaps, and counterfeit or repackaged rice, among others. Source : https://m.lindaikejisblog.com/
