The Nollywood film industry has been plunged into mourning following the sudden demise of actress Pat Ugwu, who passed away at the tender age of 35. The heartbreaking news was shared by her colleague, Emeka Okoye, via an Instagram post on Wednesday.

“Rest in peace sis. Pat ugwu. @patpat_ugwu so we no get to work again? Death whyooo? God please. Rest in peace PAT. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord,” he wrote.

“God please protect all my colleagues especially those am close to. This unusual Death is frightening . I proclaim life to everyone close to me this 2025 in the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.”

A funeral poster accompanying the post outlined the arrangements for her final farewell, with the burial scheduled to take place on February 7, 2025. A wake will be held in her honor on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The tragic loss of Pat Ugwu has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood community, with fans and colleagues alike mourning the loss of a talented actress taken too soon.
