A Nigerian man, Tomi Wojuola, has recounted how he was nearly framed for murder after attempting to save a dying man. Wojuola said the incident occurred after he found a man who had collapsed on the road and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the man later died. Following the incident, Wojuola said he went to a police station to file a report, but instead of assistance, he was accused of murder by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), who allegedly threatened him and attempted to implicate him in the death.Wojuola said he only escaped the ordeal by the grace of God.

Reacting to the incident on X, the spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed that the DPO involved has been sanctioned and removed from office. He also disclosed that any money extorted from Wojuola during the incident has been fully refunded.
