Renowned gospel singer Paul Nwokocha has announced the end of his second marriage to Goodness, revealing the reasons behind his decision to leave the union. The singer shared the news on his Facebook and YouTube page, shocking fans and critics alike.

Paul Nwokocha, who has been open about his private life, especially his marriages, began his music career 40 years ago and has released an impressive 66 albums. His marriage to Goodness was highly celebrated on social media, making the news of their separation all the more surprising.

In September 2023, the singer shared the reasons behind the collapse of his first marriage, which lasted for two decades. He explained that his ex-wife, Alice, had stopped giving him food, despite him providing for the household. This led to him feeling like an outcast in his own home.

Paul Nwokocha cited biblical teachings as the reason he decided to remarry just a month after his first wife left him. He believed that the Bible instructed him not to be alone, leading him to marry Goodness. However, this second marriage has also ended in failure.

The singer emphasized that marriage should be enjoyable, not something to be endured. He stated that he did not marry to suffer but to find happiness. Unfortunately, it seems that he was unable to find this happiness with Goodness. In a viral video, Paul Nwokocha addressed the allegations surrounding his second failed marriage. He has been a household name in Eastern Nigeria since releasing his hit song ‘Nkwa Praise’ in 2000.

He said, “Greetings to you all, all my friends and well-wishers. Thank you so much. My name still remains Paul Nwokocha, a minister of the gospel. I have heard so many people talk about my marital problem on social media, and I want to tell you something: If I marry today. I find out that the wife I married is doing abominable things before God and man, I will send you out of my house.

“Hear me again: If I marry today and I find out that the wife I married is doing abominable things before God and man, I will send you out of my house without any apology. You that is talking and showing pity on her, how will you feel if the woman you call your wife is taking nude photos and videos and sending them to men? How would you feel if you found such a thing? How will you feel? I need your comments.

“I married a wife, not a whore. So, I owe nobody an apology for this; stop calling me names. Not even minding how long I married you, if I find you are doing evil before God, you are going out of my house,” he said.

The gospel singer’s announcement has sparked a mix of reactions from fans and critics, with some expressing shock and others offering words of encouragement. Paul Nwokocha’s openness about his personal life has sparked a conversation about marriage, relationships, and the challenges that come with them.
