The Faculty of Science, University of Lagos, has recognised two of its students, Haroun Adebakin and Samuel Badekale, for graduating with a perfect CGPA of 5.00 in the 2023/2024 academic session.

Both students from the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics were presented with the Plaque of Honour by the Dean, Faculty of Science, Professor Olayinka Asekun, during the Faculty of Science 2025 Hooding ceremony, held as part of the university’s 55th Convocation ceremonies at the Staff School Hall on Monday.

Adebakin described the achievement as a privilege and expressed gratitude, urging fellow students to remain persistent in the pursuit of their goals. He encouraged youths to believe in their talents, nurture them, and develop the right mindset to succeed.

Badekale, reflecting on the milestone, said it was the realisation of a long-held dream. He noted that while the awards were gratifying, they also set a standard he must continue to uphold as he progresses in life.
