Video director TG Omori has announced a new glasses design project, with part of the proceeds dedicated to supporting kidney disease patients who cannot afford dialysis.
Omori said his own financial struggles while living with kidney disease inspired the initiative. In a post on X, he noted that dialysis costs can exceed N100,000 per session, with some patients requiring up to three sessions weekly—an expense that is crushing when compared to Nigeria’s minimum wage of N70,000.
He revealed that his six-month treatment expenses were equivalent to the cost of two Mercedes-Benz GLE SUVs and a C300, underscoring the heavy financial toll.“I’m working on my first major glasses design that will be up on sale soon where some of the proceeds will go to people living with kidney diseases that can’t afford to pay for their dialysis,” Omori wrote. He added: “Saw my 6 months health expenses, Omo 2 GLE and one small C300 bro! Health is wealth true.”
