Nigerian contestant Godwin Awaji-Iroso Abiodun won the Best Physique award at the preliminary stage of the Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 competition, which took place at the MBK Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.He earned his place on the international platform after winning Misters of Nigeria 2025. Sharing the news on Facebook, he wrote: “Best physique Cosmopolitan 2025 all the way from PH to Thailand.”
Other contestants also received recognition at the preliminaries. The Filipino delegate was awarded Best National Costume, while the Thai representative won Best Talent. Godwin’s swimwear performance secured him the Best Physique title.For the national costume segment, he wore an elaborate piece titled “Omu Alabo – The Warlord,” inspired by King Agbanijike of Bille Kingdom in Rivers State. The costume reflected the heritage and warrior spirit of the Niger Delta. Godwin also holds recognition as a creative designer and previously won the Mr Rivers State University 2023/2024 title.
Eighteen delegates from around the world are competing in Mister Cosmopolitan 2025, with all aiming for a semifinal spot in the upcoming grand finale. Earlier in the week, the contestants received their official sashes during a welcome ceremony at Divalux Resort & Spa in Bangkok, organised by the pageant’s founding committee, led by Faiz Noh.
As of Friday, the top five in fan voting were: Shawn Lin Yu Hsiang – Taiwan (21.42%), Khandy Noprian – Indonesia (19.20%), Harsh D Peiris – Sri Lanka (17.51%), Hanyoung Kim – Korea (11.56%), and Sandile Christo Gama – South Africa (9.96%).
