Davido Unveils New Single ‘Be There Still’, Sets Stage for Highly-Anticipated Album ‘5ive’

Davido has announced a new single that will drop just before his upcoming album. The 5-time Grammy-nominated singer shared the news in a post on his social media account on February 26, 2025.

The single, titled ‘Be There Still’, is set to drop on March 14 and will be the last release ahead of his next album. Davido’s highly anticipated fifth album, ‘Five’, is scheduled for release on April 18. 2025 has already gotten off to a busy start for Davido, who secured his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammys. He received a nod for Best African Song Performance for his part on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’.

In addition to his Grammy nomination, Davido was also nominated in five categories, including Artist of the Year, at the upcoming 17th Headies. This recognition is a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft.Ahead of the album release, Davido has already released two singles: ‘Awuke’, featuring Jamaican Dancehall sensation YG Marley, and ‘Funds’, featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck.

These singles have generated significant buzz and excitement among fans.In a social media post announcing his next album, Davido described ‘5ive’ as a project straight from the heart. This personal touch is expected to resonate with fans and cement his position as a leading artist in the music industry.

The album is also expected to feature a collaboration with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay, who revealed in an interview that the song is a perfect partnership. Additionally, Adekunle Gold recently teased a possible guest appearance on the album.

Davido and his fans expect ‘5ive’ to follow in the footsteps of his record-breaking fourth album, ‘Timeless’. With the release of ‘Be There Still’ and the upcoming album, Davido is set to dominate the music scene once again.
