Moniepoint Microfinance Bank (MFB) has unveiled Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as its brand ambassador under its newly introduced campaign, Made for Your Progress. The bank explained that the initiative aims to reinforce its commitment to supporting Nigerians in their personal and business growth journeys.
Managing Director of Moniepoint MFB, Babatunde Olofin, noted that the campaign underscores the role of individuals and small businesses in driving the economy. According to him, the ambitions of Nigerians form the backbone of economic growth, as reflected in the significant contribution of the informal sector to GDP. He added that the campaign is a celebration of business owners and individuals who have created value through the bank’s services, stressing that Made for Your Progress is a promise to provide financial comfort, confidence, and freedom for people to pursue their dreams.
Osimhen, who recently finalized a permanent transfer to Galatasaray for a reported €75 million, said his career reflects resilience and progress. He expressed pride in working with Moniepoint, describing the campaign as a reflection of his own story of determination. He emphasized that the initiative goes beyond a slogan, serving as both a message of hope and a pledge of support for Nigerians with aspirations.
Moniepoint introduced its personal banking service in August 2023, offering an app for transfers, bill payments, and airtime purchases. Customers also receive debit cards for use at ATMs, POS terminals, and online platforms. The service leverages Moniepoint’s infrastructure, already serving more than 10 million businesses nationwide. The campaign will run across digital and traditional media, featuring customer stories that demonstrate how Moniepoint’s services integrate into daily life.
