Afrobeats star Davido has confirmed that he and American R&B singer Chris Brown are set to release a joint album next year.Davido made the announcement during an appearance on the Swift Conversations podcast. He explained that his current work is heavily rooted in African sounds and includes production from some of his longtime Nigerian collaborators. “The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home,” he said.
“However, I am still an American so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he added.He also noted that working with American artists remains part of his long-term creative direction. Davido and Chris Brown previously teamed up on the 2019 hit Blow My Mind. The duo have been teasing a possible joint project since 2023, when Davido revealed they had recorded several unreleased songs together.
