A female trader, Mrs. Gladys Ibrahim, collapsed at Abaji Main Market in the Abaji Area Council of the FCT on Thursday after losing N275,000.

According to Daily Trust, an eyewitness named Gambo reported that Mrs. Ibrahim was shocked to find her money missing when she reached into her handbag to pay for melons she had selected. The loss left her devastated.

Gambo explained that Mrs. Ibrahim, who travels from Auchi in Edo State every five market days to purchase large quantities of melons and groundnuts, collapsed following the discovery. The incident caused panic among the market traders, and several of them poured water on her to help revive her.
