A man identified as Ashiru Jijji has been apprehended by the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards during a routine patrol in an area notorious for criminal activity.Jijji is suspected of providing logistical support to armed bandits operating within the region.

A security source, speaking on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the suspect was intercepted while transporting cartons of soft drinks and other supplies believed to be intended for bandits hiding in the forest.“He was caught while making the delivery.

During preliminary interrogation, he confessed that the items were for a specific group of bandits he frequently supplies,” the source told Zagazola Makama.Jijji is currently in custody and is expected to be handed over to relevant security agencies for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Authorities say the arrest underscores the importance of community-based security efforts in disrupting the logistics that fuel criminal operations across the state.
