AEDC Staff Electrocuted While Fixing Power Fault at Mabushi Office in Abuja

An Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) staff member, Mustapha Isa, lost his life after being electrocuted while attempting to repair a fault at the company’s Mabushi office in the Federal Capital Territory.

Specurity analyst Zagazola Makama reported that Isa was assigned to resolve the power issue around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, when he suffered an electric shock and fell from a pole, sustaining a severe head injury.A police team was promptly deployed to the location.

sa was taken to Gwarinpa General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the attending medical personnel. His remains have been transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, for autopsy as investigations continue⁰.
