Abia-Born Beauty Queen Onyinyechi Basil, Representing Miss Anambra, Wins 2025 Miss Universe Nigeria Contest in Lagos

Onyinyechi Basil, an indigene of Aba, Abia State, has emerged winner of the Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 pageant after defeating 21 other beauty queens. She advanced to the finale alongside nine contestants before clinching the crown in the final stage against Damilola Bolarinde, “Miss Lagos.”

Onyinyechi succeeds Chidinma Adetshina, who held the title of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.She will now represent Nigeria at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Thailand.
