The Katsina State Hisbah Board has issued a directive for all private schools in the state to suspend academic activities during the Ramadan period. This move is in compliance with the state government’s directive, aiming to enable students to fully participate in religious activities during the holy month.

In a public announcement made on Tuesday, February 27, 2025, Commander General of the Hisbah Board, Dr. Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar), stressed the importance of schools adhering to this directive. The suspension applies not only to regular classes but also to extra lessons and other academic engagements.

Dr. Usman urged school proprietors to strictly comply with the order, warning that non-compliance would not be tolerated. This directive is in line with the state’s laws regulating religious activities and institutions, including schools.
