
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed heartfelt appreciation after being honored with the Founder’s Sunhak Peace Prize during a ceremony in Seoul, South Korea.
Announcing the recognition on Friday via his X page, Jonathan described the award as a tribute not only to himself but to all Nigerians and Africans dedicated to promoting peace and development.
“I’m deeply thankful for receiving the Founder’s Sunhak Peace Prize today in Seoul, South Korea,” he wrote. Dedicating the award to advocates of peace and progress across the continent, he added, “This honour is for every Nigerian who believes in peace and every African striving for our continent’s advancement.” Jonathan also congratulated fellow laureates and extended his gratitude to those who contributed to the honor.
“My congratulations to the other awardees, and sincere thanks to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founder of the Universal Peace Federation, the Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation, and to my wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, for her unwavering love and support,” he said.
