Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, widely known as Mama G, has opened up about her frequent portrayal of villainous characters, saying the roles are designed to spotlight societal issues that many people choose to overlook. According to the actress, films serve as a powerful platform for exposing wrongdoing and encouraging conversations about problems that often remain hidden. She explained that many of the situations depicted in movies reflect realities that occur in everyday life but are rarely discussed publicly.

Ozokwor said she has never shied away from bringing such issues to light, adding that she takes pride in using her craft to challenge social norms and raise awareness. Reflecting on her career, the veteran actress expressed gratitude to her supporters and said she remains proud of the impact her work has made over the years.

“I felt bold to expose the ills of society. These things happen, and nobody wants to expose them, so I’m exposing them. So I’m extremely proud of myself and Mama G lovers,” she said. Over the years, Ozokwor’s “Mama G” roles have become some of the most memorable villain characters in Nollywood, earning her widespread recognition for her longevity and ability to bring depth to complex roles across generations.
