A private jet charter company co-founder, well-versed in aviation, has disputed assertions of Nigerian musicians being private jet owners.
A recent video sparked speculation that Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning singer, owns a private jet, prompting the businessman’s clarification.
The aviation expert revealed that Nigerian music artists, including Burna Boy, do not own private jets but instead opt for charter services for their travel needs.
Notably, the businessman made an exception for Davido, CEO of DMW Records, who travels in his billionaire father Adedeji Adeleke’s private jet, rather than owning one personally.
In his yesterday’s tweet, he wrote:
“Nobody owns a jet in the Nigerian music industry. It’s all charter, apart from Davido who flies his Dad’s jet.”
The businessman emphasized that his remarks were not meant to criticize or belittle any individual, but rather to provide clarity on the reality of private jet ownership.
He also stressed that chartering a jet is a legitimate and expensive option, dispelling the notion that renting constitutes a “fake lifestyle.”
