On October 15, 2024, at 5:03 p.m. EDT (block height 865,811), Tesla initiated a significant Bitcoin transaction, transferring 1,800 BTC.

This initial transfer preceded a larger movement of 11,509 BTC (valued at over $760 million) from Tesla’s well-known wallets to unknown destinations. The relocation of these funds to new wallets remains unconfirmed, sparking speculation.

Tesla’s Bitcoin holdings are now empty, with all assets sent to unidentified wallets.

Notably, the receiving addresses were legacy-style P2PKH (Pay to Public Key Hash). Arkham Intelligence detected the first 1,800 BTC transfer to a “1D6Vh” wallet, where funds remain untouched. The remaining 11,509 BTC were moved in approximately 20 transactions, totaling over $760 million.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX holds 8,285 BTC (valued at $555.47 million), adding depth to his companies’ substantial cryptocurrency involvement. As Tesla reshuffles its funds, attention shifts to SpaceX’s strategy, suggesting a calculated approach. The management and potential sale of these assets remain uncertain.

Tesla’s massive Bitcoin shift may signal a tactical rebalancing or security upgrade, raising questions about its future crypto ambitions.

As the purpose and recipient of these funds remain unknown, this transaction has captivated analysts and crypto enthusiasts, sparking discussions about Tesla’s evolving stance in the digital currency space.
