Music executive Paulo Okoye has publicly criticized activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju for involving Burna Boy in the controversy surrounding Speed Darlington’s arrest.

Adeyanju had previously accused Burna Boy of hypocrisy, claiming the singer uses Fela Kuti’s activist-inspired lyrics while allegedly oppressing others. However, Paulo Okoye jumped to Burna Boy’s defense.

Via his Instagram story, Paulo Okoye referred to Adeyanju as a “social media lawyer” and insisted that he lacked the authority to tarnish Burna Boy’s reputation.

Paulo Okoye wrote: “Deji Adeyanju, show some respect to Burna Boy’s name. Why are you even calling Burna Boy’s name?” He also questioned Adeyanju’s credentials.Paulo Okoye’s outburst follows Speed Darlington’s allegations linking Burna Boy to American rapper P. Diddy, who is currently facing legal issues in the United States.

Speed Darlington suggested that Burna Boy’s success, including his Grammy win, was influenced by his association with P. Diddy. This led to a heated debate on social media. The accusations led Burna Boy to file a petition against Speed Darlington for alleged cyberstalking. This resulted in the rapper’s arrest in Abuja by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

n a surprising twist, Speed Darlington’s mother accused Burna Boy and his team of orchestrating her son’s arrest. She pleaded with the Grammy-winning artist to facilitate his release.

The controversy has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling for calm and others defending Burna Boy’s actions. The situation remains tense, with no clear resolution in sight.
