Nigerian Music Legends to Perform at African Military Games Opening CeremonyThe 2024 African Military Games in Abuja is set to kick off with an electrifying performance by Nigerian singers D’banj, Olamide, Yemi Alade, and Timi Dakolo.

The Nigerian Army took to X to announce the star-studded lineup, stating, “The stage is set, and the legends are coming! Watch @Olamide, @iamdbanj, @yemialadee, and @timidakolo light up the opening ceremony like never before.

“This year’s African Military Games feature 25 participating countries and 19 sporting events, which will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, with the exception of obstacle crossing and shooting.

The 2024 Africa Military Games are organized by the Organization of Military Sports in Africa (OSMA) and the International Military Sports Council (CISM).Notably, D’banj previously performed at the closing ceremony of the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa, where the Super Eagles of Nigeria emerged victorious. Yemi Alade also performed at the opening ceremony of the last AFCON in Ivory Coast, singing the soundtrack.
