The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has conducted its largest single-day operation targeting cryptocurrency and romance scam networks, resulting in the arrest of 792 suspects in Lagos.

At a press conference on Monday, EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren disclosed that the arrests occurred at a seven-storey building in Victoria Island, Lagos.Uwujaren revealed that the suspects comprise 114 Chinese nationals, 40 Filipinos, two Khazartans, one Pakistani, and one Indonesian, highlighting the international scope of the scam networks.
