Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly professed his love for Honourable Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker from Edo State, and hinted at marriage plans. The legendary singer made this revelation in a video shared on his Instagram handle, addressing the growing speculation surrounding his relationship with Osawaru. This comes after his surprise visit to the Edo State House of Assembly, which sparked widespread speculation about his alleged affair with the lawmaker.

A viral video showed 2Baba sitting among some individuals, seemingly trying to maintain a low profile as fans gathered to catch a glimpse of him. His unexpected appearance at the plenary session intensified speculation about his relationship with Osawaru, following his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. “Yes, I love her. She’s amazing, she’s cool. I want to marry her. That is on one side. On the other side, Annie and I are not fighting, we are not quarrelling, we have a good understanding of ourselves and what’s going on,” he said.

“So, allegedly, I’ve been seeing so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives, false talk, and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff. And I posted it, yes—any person wey get brain go understand. But for all the people who have been saying different stuff that don’t have an absolute clue about what’s going on, I hail you people. Your life is perfect, very right. In the video, 2Baba addressed those spreading different narratives about his private life and came to Osawaru’s defense, stating that she had no involvement in his marital issues. He sarcastically jabbed at the constant rumors surrounding him, saying, “So allegedly, everybody has been saying stuff. Allegedly, keep alleging.

“2Baba jokingly suggested that authorities should intervene in how people spread baseless allegations online. His declaration appears to confirm that there is more to his relationship with Osawaru than previously assumed, despite her earlier denial of the allegations. “Nah me carry am come there, so I understand what is going to happen. I put am as una business, so you are allowed to interfere. In fact, I will ask Congress—we have to do something about this alleging. Everybody’s hiding behind it to just say anything they want to say, embarrassing people up and down.”
