The All Progressives Congress (APC) has temporarily closed its national secretariat in Abuja, commonly referred to as Buhari House, following the tragic death of its Director of Administration, AbdulRauf Adeniji.

The announcement was contained in a memo titled ‘Secretariat Closure for the Mourning of the Director of Administration’ issued on Thursday. It was gathered that Adeniji, who had been abducted weeks earlier, was confirmed dead last month.

According to the party, the secretariat will remain closed until Monday, April 14, 2025, to allow for a mourning period. Staff members were encouraged to use the time for quiet reflection and to offer prayers for the late administrator’s family and loved ones.

The APC also noted that a condolence register would be made available at the secretariat to honor his memory. The memo read in part: “The National Secretary has approved the immediate closure of the National Secretariat from all party and official activities until Monday, 14th April 2025. This follows the receipt of the sad news regarding the passing of the Director of Administration, the Late Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.”
