Six Nigerians have been deported from the United States over alleged involvement in various criminal activities.According to sources familiar with the case, their removal is part of a broader U.S. plan to deport around 3,000 Nigerians linked to different offences.

The deportees arrived on Wednesday morning aboard a Delta Airlines flight, which landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos shortly before 9 a.m. They were met by officials from multiple Nigerian government agencies, who are expected to determine the appropriate steps to take following their return.

The deportations align with an ongoing U.S. immigration policy under the Donald Trump administration, aimed at tightening migration controls and expelling individuals with criminal records.
